Caramel colors, chatoyance and curl. French walnut, which was used here, truly is a magnificent material.
Intended as a liquor cabinet, the compartment behind the tambour door is made to house a bottle of good scotch and a couple of glasses, while the main compartment will hold a number of bottles above and below the shelf. The piston fit drawer will hold your bottle opener and cocktail making accessories.
A couple of details worth highlighting are the hand cut dovetail joinery of the drawer and the hand carved pulls in ebony.
